Bhutan Treks, Travel & Trekking
Trekking in Bhutan, 2010
The thunder dragon kingdom is a trekker’s paradise and an
environmentalist’s dream. With 60 percent of the country under forest cover, Bhutan’s pristine ecology is home to rare and endangered flora and fauna
Trekkers start from an altitude of around 2400 meters and cross passes as high as6000 meters. The lower altitude winter trekking routes that range from 1300 meters to 1800 meters enable the less hardy trekkers to enjoy the beauty of a semi tropical climate.
Whatever the Bhutan trek you choose, it will be special, as you are surrounded by views of mountain ranges that soar to heights above 7000 meter, and leave the visitor with indelible memories of same nature’s rare gifts of splendor and majesty.
With Raven Tours and Treks, you will
• Trek through rarely visited valleys
• Awesome views of Chomolhari, Jitchu Drake and Tsheringkhang
• yak-herders at their camp sites
• Learn about subsistence living and how life is without Modernity
• Witness the colours, sounds and culture of this isolated country
